Record year for Denmark's biggest attractions
In 2015, as many as 25 million Danes and foreigners visited the country's 50 largest attractions. That is a full 1.5 million more visitors compared to 2014 and 600,000 more than the previous record year 2013, when there were 24.4 million guests. The record number of visitors is attributed to news and special exhibitions at the attractions.

Rosenborg Slot is a renaissance style castle located in the center of Copenhagen, Denmark. Completed in 1624, the castle was built for Christian IV and was used as a royal residence until around 1710. Rosenborg Slot is known for its richly decorated rooms and its copper roof. The Rosenborg Castle is a renaissance castle located in Copenhagen that was built in 1606 and was used as the seat of Danish kings for about a hundred years. The castle was opened to the public in 1838 and it houses a museum which displays the Royal Collections, artifacts spanning a breadth of royal Danish culture, from the late 16th century of Christian IV to the 19th century, including Crown.

Rosenborg Castle is a beautiful historic building and a fascinating museum of cultural history. Located in the King’s Gardens it houses some of Denmark’s greatest treasures, not least the Crown Jewels and the Danish Crown Regalia. Among the main attractions of Rosenborg is the Long Hall with the coronation throne with three silver lions standing guard. And beneath the castle, the three treasuries with the Crowns and the Crown Jewels.
