With a four day poker extravaganza, from 29 May 2014 to 1 June 2014, the recently renamed MPN explodes onto the scene with the MPN Poker Tour (MPNPT). This initial festival of the game takes place at Aspers Casino, Stratford, London, and offers seven exciting events over its run, including the Main Event which commences at 12pm on 30 May 2014.
The previous day the event starts with a satellite that feeds the Main Event. Initial buy-in is £35 with rebuys available at £20.
- MPN Poker Tour will visit Aspers Casino London from 18th – 21st of July. You can qualify online on Red Star Poker, as we are offering satellites with buy-ins as low as €1.5. Alternatively, buy in directly through the poker client – look for the holding lobby in the ‘Satellites’ ‘Live Events’ tab.
- The MPN Poker Tour held two events this year so far. There was the Prague stop in earl May and then the London stop in mid-July. Next up is the Battle of Malta, scheduled for October 15-22 at Casino Malta. Partnering casinos are awarding prize packages to the event, which are still in progress.

The visit of its tour to Aspers marks another step in thegrowth of MPN. Formerly known as Microgaming Poker Network it was a popular revenue maker in the world of online poker until Unibet decided to go it alone earlier this year. It lost its way somewhat with the departure of Unibet but is now taking steps to regain ground; one of which was bringing PokerLoco to the network. Initiating the new tour is another of those steps, aimed to display the growth of the network as a poker force.

For those joining the excitement at the tour inaugurationevent it isn’t all about the Main Event. On the same day the Big Night Out NL Hold’em freezeout provides an opportunity for those unsuccessful at the big one to see some further action, for a buy-in of £165.

On 31 May 2014 there’s a chance for Chinese Poker enthusiasts to shine at the Open Face Chinese Poker £55 buy-in.Outside of these events there are plenty more to entertain including a Bounty Tournament at which players receive £25 for every fellow participant they eliminate. The MPN certainly seem to be pulling out all the stops to impress.
