This early evening, hands-on, three-hour workshop convenes out the front of the Crown Casino Food Court (along Southbank), where you will meet, and from here start using your camera to bring the Melbourne Cityscape to life.
Two food courts packed with delicious options for you to choose from - stop in for a quick bite at one of our many restaurants on Melbourne's Southbank. For thirty years Polish-born Roman Dyduk ran restaurants, and one dish always topped the menu, schnitzels. So, in 2007 Roman opened a restaurant entirely devoted to his signature dish, Schnitz.
While exploring along Southbank, you will be transfixed by beautiful reflections of the Melbourne skyline on the Yarra River. Our Nikon School Lecturers Sarah Hatton & Josh Beames will teach you how to optimise your camera settings, utilise your wide-angle lens, and develop your compositional eye to capture the cityscape’s signature look, lustre and luminescence.
This workshop will introduce you to techniques such as harnessing ‘available light’, achieving longer exposure, finding unique compositions at night – all of which are necessary in order to create crisp images under a night sky.
Whether you work with a DSLR or mirrorless camera, this is the ultimate excursion into the specialised world of night-time cityscape photography.
