Clearing the application and lobby cache from our software can sometimes resolve issues accessing our software. This process involves deleting files from our software and from your web browser.
Important:
If you play at our poker tables and take notes on other players, you may wish to save a backup copy of your notes file as it will be deleted during this process.
The file is called 'notes.user.xml' (where 'user' is your username) and you will find it within our software's folder at this location (follow steps 1 & 2 in the first set of instructions to find it):
~/Library/Application Support/
To clear the application user settings:
- Open the Finder.
- Go to the Library using one of the three options Shift + Command + G or go to Go then Go to Folder… from the menu bar, or browse the following path manually:
~/Library/ - Make a copy of your 'notes.user.xml' file into a different folder if you wish to keep your player notes.
- Delete the PokerStars folder under Application Support (FullTilt if using the Full Tilt software).
- From the Preferences and Caches folders, delete the files or folders starting with 'com.pokerstars...'.
- Empty the Trash.
Next, open the Safari web browser, follow these steps:

- Go to the Safari menu next to the apple icon.
- Select Preferences, then Advanced and check the Show Develop menu in menu bar
- Go to Develop.
- Press Empty Caches.
The cache is now enabled for the internal browser our software uses.
The cache folder is called XCW and is found under ~/Library/Caches. To clear the cache for our Mac CEF software, simply move the XCW folder to the trash.
To restore your notes after completing the above steps, first, start our software and log in, then close it again. This will generate the necessary folders, and you can then follow the first two steps of the first set of instructions to find our software's folder. Finally, move your backup copy into the folder (overwrite any existing file).
